Apophysis is an actual Word!!! UPDATE

Actually I just wanted to use this new CSS from :icondwalker1047: before Gypsyh did! :D



I was finding some links for someone that wants to use Apophysis and ran across this. I thought it was cool and decided to share.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apophysis (Greek: αποφυσις, offshoot) is:

a bony protuberance, in physiology
a botanical term for the swelling of the spore-case in certain mosses
a botanical term for the part of the cone scale of a pine tree which is exposed to air
Apophysis (software), a fractal flame generating program for Microsoft Windows

ok that's it for now, cus i HATE TYPING ON THIS LAPTOP!!! :D

and if ya get dupes of this it is because i have forgotten how to update it...geeze *shakes head* I'm so smart...not! :rofl:

I got a STAMP! Just for ME!!! :iconmidknightmuse: made it for me!! Ain't it cool?:D

Ok, so on to some featurettes!!



First is :iconmidknightmuse: (of course!) :D This woman makes fractals, jewelry, paints and photography. Here is just a sampling.She is also one of super favers! :D Please check her gallery out.





Another super-faver of mine is :iconbutterfly1991: Fractals, photography and 3D renders is her game! Have a gander!




And finally here's a bit of :iconduzloo:s gallery. She's more into traditional art i.e. drawing (by hand!!) :D and enjoys rodents as pets!

Belated Thanks and a Birthday

First off I wanted to say many many many thanks to Sophquest for giving me a Daily Deviation on my Crystal Cathedral fractal and another BIG bunch of thanks for everyone that faved it and/or commented. T H A N K Y O U !!:D

November 16 is Sazzart1's birthday and that gives me the perfect excuse to update this and do what I wanted to do for awhile to try to cheer him up cus he's feeling a bit down lately. So this journal feature is just for him and I hope he likes it and you all enjoy it too! :D



First task is to decide which of his images to feature (not an easy job) and then set it all up, so I'll be back in a few....



Stephen is a wonderful person to know. He is intelligent, compassionate, funny, strange, off-the-wall, and very very kind human being. He is a Vietnam veteran, was a behavioural psychologist, owns a real nice Harley [link] looks a bit like my hubby (:D), lives in the frozen tundra of Minnesota, and is just a sweetheart!!! :D Ok, on to his gallery and my picks from it!!











:phew: that only took...well, never mind, it was time well-spent on a dude for his birthday! ;) Needless to say I found so many more that I liked and had to narrow it down so this laptop didn't blow up!!

Featuring the artists that need more visits to their gallery!! I mean if I have more pageviews than them, then something is wrong here! :D

Also: I am nearing the 10,000 pageview mark! :wow: I know there is no way that would ever happen without the help/support and journal features of the great fractal artists that I watch and who watch me!! Thank you all so much! :love:! :D





I will get to all my friends and watchers eventually....if I don't melt first!! :rofl:

As we say so long to CHP and that wicked wicked EvilUnicorn's awesome galleries, we also know we can return and visit anytime we like!

First up is :iconfujiwara--michiyo: A young lady from Japan who shares the addiction fractal creating can cause! ;) Please enjoy these teasers and then start hoofing it over to check out her whole gallery!!





Next is :iconsocial-psycho: She mainly does photomanipulations that are, as I like to say, on the daaaaaaarrrrk side!! ;) Here is a sampling. Please visit her gallery!




Ok, lets see, we got fractals, and photomanips. What's next? Ah yes, landscapes! Although he has more than twice as many pagevies as me I want to feature :iconsgtgrandpa: cus he's a cool guy and is serving in Iraq right now. Let's put a smile on his face! :D Steve is also the owner of :iconwicked-landscapes: here on dA. You might want to visit and or join up! AND he is also trying to learn Apophysis!!! If he can eventually use Apop like he uses Terragen then we are all in for a treat! :D





He also has some terrain files and links to other helpful Terragen info!

Almost 6 months from last entry! Wow...that's a long time!
